The Giambanco Family left Sicily in 1980, arrived in New York, and found an opportunity to become an owner of Sal’s Pizzeria & Catering, here in Sayville. Vito and Lori took over the Family business in 1990. They both had experience in the field and made the establishment what it is today – excellent Italian recipes, prepared and served with care to thousands of happy Sayville area residents and visitors.

Sal’s Pizzeria & Catering is recognized as one of New York’s best Pizzerias, and voted the BEST PIZZA on the South Shore. We strive to give you “food at its best” that you will remember, and come back for.

The owners began cooking at a young age, recipes and flavors being part of their family traditions in Sicily. We bring all this to you today, both at our restaurant in Sayville, and with our catering services in your own home.

At Sal’s Pizzeria & Catering, we follow strict standards on service, quality and presentation. We use only the finest ingredients in all of our dishes to ensure that every meal we serve is delicious. We encourage you to visit our restaurant and experience our cuisine with Sicilian heart and soul.

We do not have standard wait service, but our staff will serve you when asked. All “to stay” orders are served on china plates and silverware. (No plastic).
